Through a competitive and selective process, I was chosen to work with the LMG over 18 months to increase diversity and inclusion in the London market. I will be assisting the LMG on one of their workstreams to complete a project and also represent and promote London Insurance Life across the market.

2.5 year rotational graduate programme in the underwriting stream. Rotations around different classes include Property, Liability, Reinsurance, Aviation, Special Risks, Cyber and IP. Also will complete technical rotations with the Claims and Wordings teams and non underwriting rotations with Delegated Authority, Compliance and Conduct Risk. Supported throughout to complete my ACII professional qualification by the end of the scheme. Rotations include an 8 week secondment at a partner company in the final year.

I spent a month with Huawei learning about business and culture and in China. I visited many large companies such as BYD and Arup, and also visited smaller start-ups and incubators. I also had a week of intensive Mandarin language lessons. I conducted a speech at the opening ceremony in front of a large audience, increasing my public speaking skills.
