      I’m working currently for China National Logging Corporation (CNLC) as data engineer monitored exploratory, development, vertical, horizontal and deviated wells. My duties involve but not limited to:• Rig-Up and Rig-Down unit and all equipment as required, confirming the scope of work and ensure all installations are performed in a safe manner.• Monitor the well, maintain sensors, gas and data acquisition equipment.• I’ve direct responsibility for the effective management of the mud logging unit, including personnel, supplies, and maintenance.• In charge of monitoring, recording and processing of all well data and parameters.• Closely ensure primary well control and when appropriate secondary kick control monitoring.• Inform all necessary channels onsite in case of emergency or detection of possible dangerous occurrence• Design and process detailed daily and/or End of Well reports and logs (Master log, Gas log, Drilling log).• Maintain the well data integrity and reliability.• Implement the safety regulations and procedures• Manage and train all employees in the unit, such as Mud Loggers and/or Sample Catchers.• Provide all interested parties with regular and timely reports based on geological and drilling data.• Updating and correcting reports (Final Well Reports, Logs)• Perform or supervise collection and preparation of geological samples for analysis, from lagged depth and frequency, as required for evaluation, • Act according to the Geological program of each well and work along with Wellsite Geologist for determination coring point/ coring program, DST (Drill stem test), identifying formation tops, Casing point identification etc.

      Mud Logger's Tasks and Responsibilities: • Working in wellsite units, collecting, processing, logging and analysing geological samples (Percentages evaluation, Lithotype description and interpretation).• Analyze all formation evaluation samples (cuttings, gas and fluid) by performing calcimetry tests, Hydrocarbon show evaluation and analysis (Fluorescence and Sulfate tests…). • Evaluating detailed and complex data for signs of oil or gas using various laboratory techniques.• Contribute to picking casing points, Formation Top definition, changes in drilling parameters and samples.• Log correlation and interpretation.• real-time monitoring during drilling operations and trip controle.• Undertaking some on-site maintenance, for which a knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems is useful.• Taking on the primary health and safety role for the well through constant monitoring of all critical drilling parameters.• Ensures the design of an accurate and comprehensive formation evaluation the different logs (Master log, Drilling log, Gas log) and reports according to the Client's format.• Provides technical advice and assisting the wellsite geologist during coring operatoin (Contribute to determining coring point, core description and analysis, core packing).• Aware and respect all safety regulations and procedures.• Use experience and judgment to improve the service quality delivery and communicates to the Data Analyst all improvement opportunities.• Exercises discretion and independent judgment to alert the Data Analyst of any discrepancies in the formation evaluation or gases analysis observed.• Share with other well site personnel the responsibility for rigging up and rigging down the mud logging equipment.• Interacts with other service companies’ personnel and Client representatives at the well site, ensuring the prevention of events that may give rise to the wellbore insecurity
