I had the opportunity to work with Mr. Ilkin Zeynalli for couple of months in Demir Bank (2016 – 2017). During our joint work the bank went through a lot of changes, Ilkin showed high level of engagement in the process, he ensured smooth implementation of all planned activities, buying in and devotion of the middle management and respectively positive attitude of the employees towards the changes. Mr. Zeynalli has deep understanding of HR management principles and ensured good management of HR processes in the bank. As a manager he proved to be very caring and attentive, always thinking and ready to come forward with the ideas related to staff motivation, development or any support they may need from HR. Needs to be mentioned separately that Mr. Zeynalli has a very high sense of responsibility and is a hardworking person. During his four year tenure at DemirBank, Ilkin successfully developed and implemented critical HRM systems, policies and tools including Salary Grading, Performance Management, Motivation and Retention, Career Development, C&B (with a particular focus on non-financial components) and Training & Development systems, as well internal staff communication tools and disciplinary procedures. He had assumed a central role in organizing senior sessions for management staff with Executive Education Bodies and organized corporate social event for our staff (staff retreat). While in the bank Ilkin made significant contributions to enhancing employer brand of the bank and managed many successful head hunting operations for senior positions. Ilkin is very intelligent, possesses an exceptional work ethic and his energetic personality, "can do" mindset, focus and capacity set him apart from many of his peers. He is also an effective communicator, problem solver and strong leader for his team. As well as being an exceptional HR manager, Ilkin has repeatedly demonstrated expert knowledge of other functional areas and more broadly strong understanding of the general management challenges in the organization.
