I am currently trying to devise new models for the tasks connect visual world to the human languages. I was teaching assistant for COMP 541 (Deep Learning - Spring 2018), COMP 200 (Fall 2016, Fall 2017) and COMP 130 (Introduction to Programming - Spring 2017) courses. To develop neural network models as research group, we develop and use Knet. Knet is implemented in Julia, supports tensor operations on powerful GPU machines via CUDA kernels and takes advantage of auto-differentiation. I contribute Knet development actively.

    • Summer Research Intern
      • Jul 2016 - Sep 2016

Summer Research Intern at Koc University Artificial Intelligence Lab. I implemented a neural image captioning model described in "Show and Tell: A Neural Image Caption Generator" paper and reproduced the reported results by using Julia and Knet.

I performed safety tests for a refrigerator at Product Safety Lab, Highend Factory during first week. Throughout the last three weeks, I ported a desktop application which makes washing/drying machines' development easier from Delphi to C# (WPF). I improved ITU VLSI Labs' Administrative Web Application Interface and refactored all the project code written in PHP from scratch. Also, I ported a Small Signal Analysis tool developed with MATLAB and Cadence SKILL (a Lisp dialect) to newer Cadence versions. I was invited as sysadmin to VLSI Labs after being the most successful student in C programming course. I maintained lots of Django web applications which also include Pardus official website and Pardus community platform (OzgurlukIcin). I deployed also these applications on a remote dedicated server that had Pardus as OS.
