As a manager I was in charge of kiosks in locations like QPR and AFC Wimbledon. I was given the responsibility for briefing new workers on the till and how the day would go, restocking alcohol by changing barrels, organising my staff, enforcing professionalism, health and safety standards and legal documents. The transferable skills I gained and strengthened were the ability to supervise others, instruct others, manage money, time management, being able to demonstrate and teach others how a task is supposed to be done, being adaptable and understanding with both fans and staff and sharing leadership with managers higher than me.

      • May 2020 - Present

As a waiter, I worked in various locations like the O2, Wembley Stadium, Kew Gardens and the City of London Club. I delivered food and served wine, kept a high level of professionalism when at awards shows and supported colleagues. I strengthened my customer service skills and improved my rapport building, how to cater for a curated service, manage the public and my co-operation skills.

    • Cocktail Server
      • May 2020 - Present

As a bartender I was fortunate enough to work in establishments like The Hilton, Slaughtered Lamb, The 149th Golf Open and St Paul Cathedral with ex-prime ministers. I would mix multiple beverages, and maintain health & safety regulations. I strengthened my transferable skills like dexterity, following instructions when receiving orders and learning how to create cocktails and lastly, patience with customers that are inebriated.

Whilst working at Sainsbury my tasks were simple. I was told to collect 175 items per hour for online customer demand. Despite the task being simple there was some transferable skills I gained from it. I became more result orientated, efficient and was able to take in inventory using data. • MOT Assistant
      • Mar 2018 - Mar 2020

As a MOT Assistant, I was tasked with completing and presenting the test reports, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, using Microsoft Outlook and Excel to email clients about their MOT invoices and to put invoices receipts, clients’ vehicle details, bookings, stock levels and parts. Working here I became competent with my computer skills, more safety conscious due to multiple cars being suspended in the air, operating machinery and complex equipment, auditing records and work independently and proactively.

My responsibilities as a Kiosk Assistant were serving both home and away fans before the game started and at half time, enforcing rules like serving alcohol in plastic cups and counting how much each register had made at the end of the match. Despite the simplicity of the task, I was able to strengthen the skills of managing the public, empowering others when they felt overwhelmed by the amount of people we had to get through, adaptability with both fans and staff and keeping financial records. Bierkeller was the beginning of my bartending experience. I was tasked with pouring pints, cocktails, steins, setting up and closing down the bar. There was a plethora of skills learnt during my time at Bierkeller such as learning how to anticipate the needs of customers making me proactive and tactful and how to think about others when using a full staffed bar. Working for the homeless charity was very insightful for me as I gained knowledge about a part of life I had never experience whilst developing strong skills like perseverance and leadership. I was tasked with working/walking around the urban/suburban areas of Manchester and knocking on people’s doors to see if they wanted to join the charity. With this job I developed multiple skills like the power of persuasion when trying to sign up the public to our charity, self-motivation when there were days of signing up nobody, organising the routes we were to take when team leader and how to be sensitive to the needs of others when taking down their financial details as well as the topic of homelessness.
