Creative director Christel Penella de Silva and I have recently embarked on our first venture together: a creative powerhouse of projects and ideas made of an interconnected team of driven, enterprising people who share a common professional vision. What that then means in practice is in some ways impossible to predict, but it surely is exciting to live. A casual conversation about the state of the art in T-shirts, employment and life in general with Theo Stegers led me to first help out in the organisation of a promotional event which took place at the Magic Roundabout in Shoreditch and then to attain the role of Marketing Manager for the company. During my time there, I designed and sent emails using the popular platform Mailchimp, prepared our IndieGoGo campaign video, created all sorts of graphic and visual content for social media and… Show more A casual conversation about the state of the art in T-shirts, employment and life in general with Theo Stegers led me to first help out in the organisation of a promotional event which took place at the Magic Roundabout in Shoreditch and then to attain the role of Marketing Manager for the company. It was a very enlightening time, and I wish WeAdmire LTD all the best to come in the future. If you are ever around Shoreditch High Street station, don't be shy to come in the shop and have a browse around. They have in their archive over 1,500 designs and are able to produce a shirt sporting any of them in a matter of minutes. As a happy employee I can say that customer satisfaction with these shirts is more than guaranteed. Both my Physics and my Chemistry teacher asked me to tutor their children in, to my understanding, the scariest subject of all: Mathematics. I took the challenge on, and I think they progressed very well. I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to intern at the European Media and Communication Doctoral Summer School at the University of Bremen from the 11th to the 15th August 2014. Along with a team of other two young interns we coordinated schedules, helped out in presentations, participated in workshops and (of course) made sure everyone's caffeine levels were always at its optimum.
