In connection with Igor Popovski’s study of International Business at Copenhagen Business School he has been one of the top students in my courses on Applied Business Research and International Business in Emerging Markets. Before joining the master courses I had the pleasure of also knowing Igor as a bachelor student in the Asian Studies Programme, also at Copenhagen Business School, where I was the supervisor on his bachelor thesis that he wrote together with two other students. The thesis got a top grade. During master class Igor developed a strong analytical capability regarding issues of international business in emerging markets and showed a deep understanding of various theoretical approaches in relation to changing business environments, entry strategies and operating affiliates in emerging markets. When discussing various empirical cases also in class Igor showed a strong ability to apply concepts and theories on a concrete case, abilities that also came through in his master thesis that I also supervised. During team work, which is a requirement at master level, he demonstrated several times that he is a good and inspiring team player. I know Igor Popovski as a very dedicated student who works hard in all his assignments. Furthermore, he has a very friendly and likable personality.
