As part of the medical department, I was involved in educational activities with Key opinion leaders (six Expert Input Forums/Advisory Boards, Congresses highlight session (ESPID, ECCMID, Jornada de vacunas de la AEP), HCP Courses), as well as in the conception, writing and translation of clinical research projects (involved in five Merck Investigator Studies Program, two of them granted). As part of the medical department, I was implicated in the Medical Scientific Liaisons activities. I collaborated closely with other departments, as marketing, policy or access, to give them scientific support. I have worked in several projects with Real World Data (RWD/RWE). Projects I was involved in: ADVISE (one article under review, results presented in “curso avanzado en vacunas URJC”), GEVEN (in collaboration with ANENVAC), FHOROS (pharmaeconomic study of rotavirus hospitalizations), NEVAC (advance talks on vaccinology). One health project with policy department. Courses I have organized: DCAP (organized by the semFYC), course of Innovation on Vaccines (INVAC), Curso de Vacunología para el Personal de Enfermería (MSD profesionales), curso avanzado en vacunas URJC, Oxford/IDSA CMEP infectious course on pneumococcal diseases. Marketing activities that I have scientifically supervised: Campaign to raise awareness about pneumococcal diseases, “por ellos, contra el neumococo. Juntos lo conseguiremos”, pneumococcal vaccines experts meeting NeoVacNation. I have created a pediatric vaccines technical datasheet comparison document for the access team; with MSD pediatric vaccines portfolio and its competitors (Vaqta/Havrix, HBVaxpro/Fendrix/Engerix, Vaxelis/Infarix/Hexyon, Rotateq/Rotarix, Proquad/Priorix tetra, MMRVaxpro/Priorix, Varivax/Varilix). During my postdoctoral period I was studying virus life-cycle from a biophysical point of view in the Zernike Institute for Advanced Materials. With Atomic Force Microscopy as a tool I have studied the structure, mechanic and life-cycle of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), Ebola, Chikungunya, Microtubules, TMV, and Adenovirus. As a postdoctoral researcher I was in charge of applications for funding (Marie Curie, EMBO & HFSP) and oral and written dissemination of my results in my group, my institution and my field. During my postdoc: - I was actively involved in the ViruScan project that comprises eleven European partners (https://www.viruscanproject.eu/), and I presented results twice in front of a European evaluation board from the European commission in Brussels successfully. - I worked on an industrial collaboration Janssen™ checking the structural viability and characterization Adenovirus (Ad26) to use them as viral vectors. - I Mentored and daily managed of Master and Ph.D. students (Thabi Matseke, Yuzhen Feng). - I peer-reviewed for the Biophysical journal™. - I conducted industrial collaborations with Philips™ (Surface blade characterization by AFM) and Janssen™ (Structural viability and characterization of viral vectors (Ad26)). - I was in charge of JPK Nanowizard 4 technical maintenance and training. Integrate, check, and show new upgrades in the microscope, as well as perform revision and interact with the manufacture company were part of my responsabilities. Show less

As a PhD student I was worrking in the frame of the "InTox" project, which aims to unreveal the dynamic of Pore Forming Toxins on membranes with the help of High-Speed Atomic Force Microscopy. Pore forming toxins are the proteins that bacteria segregate in order to disrupt host cell membrane during Bacterial infection. As a result of my thesis I wrote a Wikipedia article.
