Engineering Intern
-
Sep 2020 - Oct 2020
The main functions that I have developed over the duration of this internship have been: - Collaboration with the modeling of new ionic liquids through quantum-chemical calculations. - Prediction of thermodynamic and kinetic properties of the new ionic liquids using COSMO-RS method, for the capture of gases like CO2, H2S or NH3 that are frequently found in biogas. - Modeling of upgrading operations in biogas using ionic liquids through Aspen Plus simulator, using realistic currents and setting quality standards in the biomethane obtained. - Collaboration in a technoeconomic study to assess the viability of this new processes in comparison to current industrial technology.
