      In this role, I devised and drove the strategy to improve the organizational-wide performance of this sugar producer. I gained buy-in to a culture change to adopt new management techniques, including organizational structure, continuous improvement, KPI’s, quality management, customer and supplier relation management. I gained management buy-in to support development of a Group-wide raw material supply chain management system (including geo localisation) - achieved via introduction of efficient IT support to increase supply partners' accountability, control and performance. In consultation with line managers, I performed gap analyses, scoped projects, presented and negotiated strategic plans, advised on risk management strategy, and reported on progress and key results. I benchmarked competition, and defined and renegotiated transport, sugar beet, and seed contracts. Additionally, I optimized production planning and logistics for beets, chicory, co-products, and seeds, restructured production and reduced the number of factories. I lobbied for agriculture; pesticides, fertilizers, feed, environment, secondary raw materials, sugar regime; progressed application for legislation on transport, agriculture, waste, and feed. Quality coordination for co-products (feed and compound feed, fertiliser) Studied the opportunities and risks for the reduction of production costs resulting in longer sugar campaigns (from 80 days to >120 days). Further initiatives included development of an E2E supply management system (WebGis) for beet procurement and logistics, and increasing productivity while cutting the operational costs of all partners in the supply chain.
