Industrial Engineering Intern

NBC is one of the largest producers of beverage in Nigeria with a wide variety of products which varies from Coca Cola, Fanta, Eva Water e.t.c. Challawa Plant as at the time consist of two Semi Automated production lines which were operational for twenty four hours every day except for periodic maintenance or corrective maintenance. As an Interim Engineer, I have the duty of making sure of some daily checks of gauges and valves, pneumatic pressure gauges, steam valves, level sensors, condenser working cooling temperatures, caustic soda level for bottle washers, jamming frequency at the bottle washer pickers, fillers and capping mechanism daily reports, loading and unloading arm from and to conveyor belts. I had the opportunities on several occasion to work with Automation Experts during troubleshooting of Sensors, PLCs, Flow metering devices, communication protocols (Ethernet and Profibus), Frequency Inverters, Siemens PLC S7 300, Variable Frequency Drive (Danfoss), Siemens Panel HMI Control Panel I got heavily involved in all stages of manufacturing and maintenance department, I was mentored by great experienced engineers on efficient methods of maintaining production machines with little downtime, was involved in installation and commissioning of (HANSER/GRASSO) HRC reciprocating type Ammonia Condenser, Fire Tube Boiler Majored in the complete maintenance of the following equipment and machines Chiller (package water type), Evaporators or Heat exchanger (both air cooled and lubricant cooled), Condenser (Hanser/Grasso HRC) reciprocating type, Accumulator, Damper. Production Manager

At Omo Ade Water we produce clean drinkable table water using several filtration, distillation and the use of ultraviolent lightening process to achieve approved production processes by both NAFDAC and SON. I began as a machine operator before the managerial responsibility of the entire business goal was solely part of the job responsibly which ranges from day to day operation and maintenance of the water packaging machine also all water producing equipment were directly under my supervision, these include sand filters, various capacities of electric motors, electrical pumps (submersible and surface), sirens, water stoppage valves, sand filter beds, mash filters, circuit breakers, contactors, water distillation filters, water purification ultraviolent lights. I rose to the position of the production manager with the responsibility of dealing with all legal authorities and governmental agency to meet all standards of production and environmental control and requirements. The responsibility of keeping up to date of both financial records and production records of the company was my sole responsibility. All sales vehicle maintenance is an integral department that as to be kept on its toes at all times therefore its vehicles and the personal management was key to attaining good product sales in a highly competitive market. Frequent meetings with the customers was a major role to be played to continuously meet their demands. Show less
