As a part of DisQover: a collaboration between ABN AMRO and QuSoft, I investigated quantum software applications for ABN AMRO. I am also a member of the Algorithms and Complexity group led by Prof. Harry Buhrman at the National Research Institute for Mathematics and Computer Science (CWI).

For my PhD in theoretical physics I investigated quantum mechanical systems that consist of many constituent particles that all interact with one another: so-called strongly correlated systems. These systems are generally too complicated to be studied analytically (using pen and paper). Instead, I resorted to computational methods that go by the name of tensor network algorithms. I was supervised by Dr. Philippe Corboz.

    • Lecturer and Teaching Assistant
      • Sep 2011 - Jun 2014

I have TA'ed over a dozen courses in total for the Bachelor and Master programs in Physics and Mathematics: always with passion and dedication. In addition, I was the principal lecturer for the Betabrugtraject: a program that prepares high school students for a science degree.
