• Tech incubator aimed at accelerating Norwegian early-stage technology start-ups with potential for international high-growth • Assisted tech start-ups in establishing operations in Silicon Valley. • Managed the daily activities of Innovation House, a Silicon Valley Co-Working Space. • Participated in an extensive amount of conferences and networking events. • Recruited companies for The Norwegian School of Entrepreneurship, San Francisco. • Assisted Norwegian companies at conferences in San Francisco. • I helped preparing and organizing the visit to San Francisco and Silicon Valley for a Norwegian business delegation consisting of 67 technology companies accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit and Deputy Minister Jeanette Moen (Norwegian Minister of Trade and Industry), May 7-9, 2013. The theme for the visit was Advanced Technology, Innovation and Design Thinking. By customizing seminars in 4 different tracks: Advanced Tech, IT Security, Education Tech and Big Data the participants learned and met industry experts in several future technology growth areas. Meetings were organized at e.g. Tesla, Cisco, Google, NASA, Palantir and HP. In addition to full day seminars (my main area was education technology), I also assisted the project manager (Yvonne Ericsson) with arranging the Royal VIP Dinner at Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco and a pitch-session with 9 Norwegian Technology startups meeting American Venture Capital companies at the Rosewood Sand Hill resort in Palo Alto. The project included collaboration between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The Norwegian Embassy in DC, the Norwegian Consulate General, The Royal Palace, The Ministry of Trade & Industry. Show less
