Katherine Greiner

As Alumni Relations Coordinator for AIFS Study Abroad, I am writing to recommend Ian Schwenke, who served as an AIFS Alumni Ambassador for the 2016-17 academic year at Saint Mary's College of Maryland. Ian served as an on-campus resource for students to learn more about the benefits of studying abroad and the specifics on AIFS Study Abroad programs. He provided support to campus events, including presentations to various student groups and organizations, study abroad fairs, and individual student meetings. Ian organized on-campus events to help promote study abroad, utilized social media to share details on his experience abroad and gathered information from students interested in learning more about our programs. He spoke to students in small groups and was able to develop personal connections to ensure students felt supported as they underwent the program application process. Ian was always willing to offer assistance and developed rapport with the many constituents served by the position, including interested students, family members, faculty members and university staff. Ian would be an asset to any employer. I have enjoyed working with Ian and am happy to recommend him for any future endeavors or employment he chooses to pursue. Sincerely, Katherine Greiner
