My role was to define and implement the IT business partnering function for the LG division. This required an understanding of the business needs, aligning these to Group IT strategy through development of IT roadmaps and in ensuring that LG division had the best possible IT services covering all business sectors/IT capabilities from pre-sales, portfolio management, project delivery through to operational IT support. I supported the winning of a substantial new work ( >£100m per annum) and delivery of key initiatives to standardise IT and business processes across the existing contract base in both Highways, Environmental Services and Waste Treatment. I was also involved in a number of leading Smart City pilots demonstrating innovation using latest technologies to exploit available data sources.
