Jonathon Myers

I supervised Ian's work on Game of Thrones Ascent content in preparation for launch, though I must admit Ian required very little supervision. As we ramped up quest production of adapted content, Ian quickly made his mark as a leader and Senior Writer with terrific execution and professionalism. After mastering the game's tone and conversation system, he helped to train new writers. He also wrote flawless and authentic voices for both original and adapted IP characters. It was an easy choice as I entrusted to him the entire quest line of the Stark bannerman point of view. Ian possesses a rare combination of traits. He excels at turning assignments around very quickly with an extreme attention to detail. He receives feedback very well and thrives on rapid revision cycles. Ian is always happy to make the product better, often going far beyond the call of duty to create or expand guidelines or documentation. In particular, Ian was instrumental to the development of our quest outlining templates. When I needed someone to be the first writer on a new type of narrative design element we had prototyped, I could count on Ian to test run the accompanying writer tools while collaborating on guidelines. I recommend Ian without hesitation for any position that requires writing, narrative design, or narrative lead capabilities. I hope that one day I'll have the privilege of working with him again.

Ian is an extremely talented writer/designer responsible for some of the most memorable stories in The Old Republic. I worked closely with Ian on many occasions and always stepped away from those collaborations with better and stronger content. Ian was always open to suggestions while maintaining a strong vision for the narrative. I would love to work with Ian again in the future, and recommend him without reservation.
