My roll when I joined the company was to set up a reliable department for the exchange & return of faulty technical equipment inside the warranty period to ultimately return maximum revenue back into the business to support the ongoing development of the business. This was achieved by developing and implementing procedures & databases to catalogue incoming items & progress through to issue resolution. In a one year period I personally returned in excess of £75,000 back to the technical side of the business. As a Dell reseller it became increasingly important to become confident with the technology & so trained myself to the level of a Dell service engineer to facilitate the easy transition of warranty parts. All this led my department into being the test bed for all future installations, so that they could be laid out, & fully soak tested with all machines & servers connected together & configured correctly before final installation much reducing the time spent at site. Through all of the above achievements I became heavily involved in the training of new employees & implementation of training software installed on my stock of backup machines. I wrote key additions to the training manuals facilitating access for non company employees to easily negotiate the complex installation process of our in house software. Show less
