In 1988 Ian joined W T Partnership and was integral in opening their Cairns Office where he was responsible for providing Pre and Post Contract Services on small, medium and major projects throughout the Far Northern Region. In 1992 Ian was appointed North Queensland Manager of WT Partnership (Cairns) practice and was made Associate in 1995. Ian gained experience in projects, which include the Cairns Reef Casino and Hotel, Cairns Convention Centre, Cairns Railway Station and Central Shopping Complex. He has also worked on the Smithfield Shopping Centre Redevelopment, Cairns International Airport Redevelopment, Holiday Inn Hotel Redevelopment and Cairns International Hotel Refurbishment.During the 1999 year and in the lead up to the Olympics, Ian was relocated to the Sydney office of WT Partnership as Senior Associate. During this time, Ian’s duties included managing a team of quantity surveyors for various large developers and fiancial groups within the Sydney region.
