The school operates as an independent not-for-profit business with an annual turnover of $10m. My position is a key member of the school's Executive Leadership Team, being the only non-educational leader within the organisation. In my role as Business Manager, I reported and provided counsel to the Principal (CEO), School Board and various Committees. ◼️Developed strategic short and long-term forecasting and budgeting tools to provide visibility to the executive of the impacts of various strategic and tactical scenarios. ◼️Played a key role in the growth in enrolments of over 30% by directly negotiating a medium-term contract with a large overseas company. ◼️Managed key external stakeholders including Government and community leaders to obtain approval for the full relocation and long-term lease of a new $21.6m campus in Doubleview. ◼️Identified, presented, and obtained Board approval for $3m in projects to raise ISWA’s profile in the independent sector and secured remit to strategically project manage the initiatives on behalf of the Board. ◼️Successfully negotiated the school’s leased IT assets saving ~$75k per annum on the previous contracts. ◼️Instigated smart strategies that saved the school ~$200k by renegotiating supply contacts, securing bulk purchase discounts, and procuring a solar electric system that reduced ongoing power costs. ◼️Scoped, negotiated, and delivered of four state-of-the-art playgrounds – a $1.4m project.

Turnover for 2015 was approximately $50m.
