At Flower City Gaming, I worked as a lead software engineer creating and maintaining varying web platforms that ran fantasy sports, sports betting, financial transactions and reporting, geolocation, 3rd party integrations, KYC, and broadcast graphics: - BreakTraders: Planned and created live-streaming broadcast overlay software, utilizing NodeCG and OBS, to provide streamers with control over content and dynamically display customer data, team data, and marketing information. - 2ndBet: Planned, architected, and implemented a full-stack solution to process resale of online sportsbook bets with financial transactions, user management, and third-party integrations. Utilized .NET Core Web APIs with OAuth, backed by a PostgreSQL database. Created a query library designed to dynamically load data via in-memory caches, Redis caches, and read-only and read-write databases according to business rules defined as needed for each query. - GBE Technologies Partnership: Developed multiple microservices in .NET and .NET Core Web API integrations with MSSQL databases that handled financial and application data, and a microservice that integrated with the Bambora PaymentIQ payment provider. - Secure Geolocation Provider: Prototyped and architected a business-to-business Web API and Android application to securely retrieve, store, encrypt, and validate user geolocation data. - Miomni Gaming Partnership: Integrated third-party APIs to create and deploy a live sports betting platform in West Virginia. Modified existing systems to meet regulatory requirements for accounting, reporting, geolocation, KYC, and other regulations. - Star Fantasy Leagues: Implemented and maintained real-time sports data processing in the .NET stack with a MSSQL database, and re-architected the system for multi-tenant white-label functionality. Converted this system into a redeployable and configurable business-to-business Web API designed to integrate fantasy sports into third-party platforms. Show less

BSA Camp Area Director

Jun 2011 - Jul 2012
I planned and taught five day courses on technology related merit badges to Boy Scouts at the Boy Scout Camp, Camp Brule. As an Area Director, I was responsible for the training and performance of another instructor, who also taught four merit badges each summer. At the Tech-Know-Lodge, I was responsible for teaching and training an instructor to teach merit badges such as Computers, Communication, Electronics, Space Exploration, Chemistry, Cinematography, Graphic Arts, Nuclear Science and Robotics. I also volunteered in the week after camp each summer to teach simpler skills to Webelos. I also maintained activities, such as an introduction to python programming. In addition to those responsibilities, I, with my co-workers, created skits and themes to make camp a lively and fun experience for the campers. Show less
