Customers would enquire about various metalwork projects that they needed/wanted to have done, this could range from individual clients needing adjustments to their property or bigger companies building schools or accommodation. I would review the calculations and provide a cost for the works. I also deal with a lot of people enquiring over the phone so have to present myself confidently to ensure they feel comfortable that they are purchasing from the right company. Accomplishments I have obtained a broad knowledge of an industry which I previously knew nothing about, I have obtained a CSCS Health and safety card that allows me to visit building sites, I developed my manner of dealing with people over the phone and also face to face interactions and am much more confident in both. Skills Used: Communication is a big factor of this job and you are constantly updating the customers on the progress of their products as well as telling the fabricators what needs to be done and how o make certain items differently. I also should a lot of ingenuity when it came to customers asking for my opinion on what the design of their product should be and thinking on my feet if something unexpected was to occur. During the later stages of my time at the company I was very much involved with the fabrication of products and also erecting them in keeping with the customers expectations meaning that when I was cutting or drilling it had to done with complete accuracy which I took into my stride and showed a considerable amount of attention to detail. Crew Trainer
-
Oct 2012 - Jul 2014
I started work at McDonalds with very little experience in customer service and food safety and hygiene and during my time there I learned all of the following and even gained promotion to the role of 'Crew Trainer' I am fully trained in every station that you could work in the store, this includes; Working on a till or drive-through where you must regularly interact with customers ensuring that they have a positive experience each visit, The kitchen where you must have be on your toes at all times as you could get busy very quickly whilst ensuring that the kitchen is clean and hygienic at all times, dining area where you are at the front of the store and are focused mainly on customer interaction and keeping where they eat clean and hygienic, stock delivery being signed for, counted and then put away making sure that it is correctly rotated so the 'first in, first out' policy is adhered to, cashing up tills and handling large amounts of money which is counted accurately and then signed for and dropped every night. The job is a very high paced intense where the store can get busy in the blink of an eye so you must always be aware and prepared to act fast. Show less
