Undertake the on-site supervision of projects, studies and engineering work on oil and gas pipelines and associated facilities in the UK and overseas: • Supervise site engineering construction in accordance with relevant company, client, national and international standards. Ensure good and safe engineering practices are maintained in accordance with BPA HSEQ safety procedures. • Ensure that all Construction works are carried out to BPA Construction Procedures and to CDM regulations. • Take instructions from and work with the BPA Project Co-ordinator to supervise / monitor construction works at site. • Represent Engineering Department at site level and liaise with the construction contractor and site operator / owner as applicable. • Provide project control at the work site from initial mobilisation through to commissioning and handover. • Prepare specific plans and programmes to ensure site work is carried out in accordance with BPA procedures and to the client’s satisfaction. • Ensure compliance with contract drawings, specifications and construction programme. • In conjunction with the Project Co-ordinator resolve any issues arising concerning construction. • Ensure agreed construction man-hour and cost targets are adhered to through effective project and financial control. Seek to enhance project fee where possible. • Issue site instructions to construction contractor as agreed with the Project Co-ordinator. • Maintain site diary / records to provide factual basis for negotiations with construction contractor. • Assist Project Co-ordinator in any negotiations with the construction contractor as may be required. • Take instruction from and be accountable to the Field Engineering Team Leader regarding line management issues. • Maintain good client relationships to help secure continuing business. The job requires management responsibility for agency staff where required and discipline engineers as necessary.

Cathodic Protection Technician (ICorr Level 2) (NACE Coating Inspector Level 1)

• I conduct routine monitoring of the BPA managed pipeline systems’ corrosion protection equipment.• Management of the associated database including data input, data review, modifications, KPI performance.• Supervise engineering construction works in accordance with relevant company, client, national and international standards. Land and Wayleve Technician

• I ensure the integrity of the pipelines managed and operated by BPA is maintained and protected from the actions of various parties. • Organise the schedule of pipeline inspections and maintenance for the south east of the country annually• Make arrangements to meet third parties and landowners regarding works within close proximity of the pipeline and advise parties on BPA’s requirements and to help finalise agreed method statements for works to be carried out to ensure BPA’s assets are not damaged. • Attend on site when parties are working within the pipeline easement and supervise excavation works to maintain the integrity of the pipeline and that the method statements are followed by our agreed methods.• Liaise with landowners particularly concerning crop compensation, permission to install markers and to carry out works on private land.• Liaise with consultants, engineers, planners and construction workers in the field. Virtually all contact is by phone or face to face.• An acting member of BPA’s Health and safety committee for the south east of England.• Carry out investigations to locate information of any unauthorised works within the pipeline easement, which BPA were not consulted.• Complete records of works within the pipeline easement and submit them to Lands and Wayleaves Department via windows tablets and GIS software.• Carry out regular patrols by foot, vehicle and helicopter to check on activity in the vicinity of the pipelines and complete report forms.• Inspect and maintain pipeline markers, warning notices, valves etc. involving painting, removal of vegetation and debris, installation/replacement of damaged markers and carry out minor repairs to the pipeline protective coating. • Ability to use and interpret Ordnance survey maps, layout drawings and plans, construction drawings, method statements• Locate the pipelines for parties using pipe locators (RD8000).
