University Placement
-
Mar 2021 - May 2021
As part of my college coursework I was given a placement with Development Perspectives, a community work organisation. I subsequently authored a number of blogs, that were published online, highlighting individuals that were addressing social issues in Ireland; I also planned workshops for students and created journals so they would be informed about their role as global citizens and understand the UN sustainable development goals. These objectives were interesting and I was fortunate to network with a variety of professionals and social entrepreneurs’. Show less

As part of my Community Development and Youth Work course I was placed at Belvedere Youth Club to provide me with hand on experience working in a youth work environment. I had to appreciate how the organisation was structured and plan on how to facilitate activities that involved such things as cooking, sports, dance, arts & crafts.
