May 2018 - Aug 2018
I have over forty hours of shadowing experience spanning over primary care, orthopedic surgery and child psychiatry. Here, I was able to gain insight into patient-clinician relationships outside of industry and academia. I have also attended workshops alongside some of these physicians to discuss racial and socio-economic boundaries that prevent the administration of adequate healthcare. While shadowing, I was able to observe physicians prescribe medications and inquire about their reasoning.
