For a best-in-class optical metrology user facility funded by the Department of Energy • Performed optical metrology of synchrotron optics and optical assemblies to both characterize substrates, and to fine tune bendable optical assemblies. • Commissioned and calibrated robotic and stand-alone measuring instruments. • Wrote original software to forecast beamline performance of measured sub-assemblies to allow efficient adoption of optics at beamlines. • Developed automated data analysis routines, based on anti-correlative measurement strategies to differentiate instrument systematic error from physical mirror surface attributes. • Presented novel, effective techniques of error reduction and instrument calibration to the greater metrology community at SPIE conferences.
