I am currently working as a Senior Physiotherapist between 2 clinics on the southside of Dublin, in Rathfarnham and Carrickmines. My caseload involves primarily seeing musculoskeletal complaints including Neck and Back pain, Foot and ankle complaints, shoulder pain, tendinopathy, and Radiculopathy. I co-ordinate Professional standards and development within the clinic which involves; weekly statistic updates in regards to maintaining professional duties of documentation and correspondence with Consultants and GPs, and running specialist weekly training with junior staff members. I also set up and co-ordinate 2 exercises classes within the Carrickmines clinic; the "Neck and shoulder exercise class", and "The Better Back Program". These classes involve evidence based interventions of progressive and supervised exercise & strengthening to deal with complaints of pain and weakness in the affected areas. The classes have been hugely successful both in regards to feedback from patients and referring clinicians, as well in the outcomes for patient participating in them.
