In the beginning, they met the need of voice mail and paging services for the real estate, financial and medical businesses in the Coachella Valley. Automated Telecom was instrumental in the implementation and acceptance of voice mail services in the Coachella valley in 1990 and their very first customer was Tarbell Realtors with over 100 voice mail and pagers. In 1992, they began selling wireless telephones for LA Cellular through the AT&T Wireless transition. Automated Telecom became the first Nextel Authorized Representative in the Coachella Valley and participated in the huge growth of Wireless Telecommunication services by activating over 40,000 Nextel devices since 1996 for small businesses to government agencies. When people were still carrying pagers and using pay phones, Automated Telecom sold the Nextel concept as an integrated tool to help businesses become more efficient. Today, who doesn’t have a mobile device? As the industries evolved so did Automated Telecom. Today Automated is located in on Highway 111 in Palm Desert specializing in VoIP telephone systems and services, custom voice mail solutions, custom call routing solutions, call recording, eFax and high speed internet services.
