Institute of Osteopathy Awards 2016 I am proud of how I support our communities of Overton and Basingstoke through involvement with local businesses and sports clubs as well as being a venue for work experience & mentoring to students. We actively fund raise for 2 local medical charities and a Ukranian refugee charity. I provide treatment to patients going through the difficult time if their cancer treatment at the Wellbeing & Supportive Care centre at Basingstoke & North Hampshire Hospital which is funded by the www.arkcancercharity.org.uk. I am a strong advocate of bettering ourselves and others and we have lectured regularly (London School of Osteopathy since 1996) provide talks to local organisations, WI and U3A, the NHS musculo-skeletal service, GPs.... I am committed to evidence based care and have conducted clinical audits for many years (PROMs, Snapshot, Mother & Baby) as well as contributingtothe MOCAM trial at Southampton University. Understanding outcomes through audit and feedback better informs our decisions. Audit shows a high percentage of personal recommendation by previous patients as an endorsement. I work primarily from home and 1 day a week at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital and receive primary and secondary referrals from GPs, Consultants as well as patients self referring. I am recognised by all major private health insurers. Appointments give the time required to discuss, diagnosis, offer treatment options and commence treatment. The patient experience is at the centre of our service. We believe that understanding their needs and expectations is the key to effective healthcare. Show less
