Student researcher on the Air Partners research team at Olin College, working on a 2-year study to measure outdoor and indoor air quality in the community of Roxbury in Boston, MA. The data will be used to drive investment in indoor air purifiers in homes and schools and to advocate for stronger enforcement of regulations on pollution sources, particularly idling diesel buses and construction. https://www.airpartners.org/ Student researcher on the Air Partners research team at Olin College, working on a 2-year study to measure outdoor and indoor air quality in the community of Roxbury in Boston, MA. Working with a not-for-profit client to develop a work training program in the air quality field. The program is based on low-cost air quality sensors developed by Sensorbot, another non-profit I have worked with in the past. Most of my work has been creating the curriculum—2-hour learning modules centered on understanding how the sensors work and how to use them. They also teach development tools like Git, SQL, and R, as well as skills with microelectronics and soldering. I am especially proud of the SQL and R components of the modules, because I had to learn these languages myself as I was writing the curriculum! Show less
