In this I work closely with the Product Managers and sales leaders in Geo to bring new GTM ideas with our products to help drive the number. I work very closely with my PMM colleagues in the US to develop the correct messaging for our region to raise the awareness or our market strengths. The biggest challenge is to help our sales teams to shift the focus from selling a “product” to a simplified solution based services catalog for our customers. Working with the wider Hitachi to build a proper GTM plans to deliver connected IoT and hybrid cloud services for our customers in EMEA.

I was aligned to our largest storage market in EMEA for Dell, the UK business. This role is 3 in one, the Product Manager, the Product Marketing Manager and the Field Marketing Manager in one! In this role you are seen as the trusted advisor within the business. Day to day I worked with the sales teams to help drive the number with awareness programs, while I also interfaced with Product Group, sales BU, central marketing, marketing ops and segment marketing managers to build exciting launch platforms. As part of this role I was responsible for B2B channel campaign activation and social strategy execution for the storage LOB. With the launch of the Nutanix & VCE OEM relationship I took on product business management, customer engagement and sales enablement for these solutions. I was responsible for positioning and launching HCI & SDS offerings in EMEA (XC with Nutanix, MS Storage Spaces, VSAN) alongside our traditional storage business. One additional area of strength is my ability in public speaking; I have spoken publically for both for internal staff and external customers.

Key in this role was the development and end to end ownership of the storage marketing programs, aligning with the Storage Sales Director we developed demand generation, nurture and distribution campaigns using a number of vehicles. I worked with our alliances vendors to manage my allocated budget to deliver the best value to Dell from events, telemarketing to product launch. This also included the social media syndication for my region aligned with the corporate strategy. Part of this role was also running and attending customer events, sometimes on the booth demonstrating our solutions to customers, but also presenting to customers on our solution value. A big part of my time was spent on the Nutanix OEM launch of the Dell XC product lines.

Dell Motorsport - responsible for all enterprise solutions within this base while driving new strategy to grow Dells presence within Motorsport. The offerings are specific to the Motorsport team enabling us to provide hardware and services that are only specific to this vertical. This is a very exciting and growing area of Dell's business. Dell Legal Division - based out of London the Legal team have gone from a 100% client provider to a nearly a 50% enterprise mix in a very short space of time. Customers see the value in the acquisitions Dell has brought on board to offer a specific Legal focus. Dell has become the trusted adviser in this space and continues to grow in a declining market.

The most fun was white boarding with a customer on how to get to their desired outcome. Great fun! Designing complex solutions, integrating systems using multiple operating systems, performing system performance analysis and responding to customer tendors.
