Creative Producer

Jan 2023 - Present
After 8 years at Paragon I accepted an invitation to assist in producing projects. I now handle project discovery and development in addition to research and writing, as well as some client outreach. I'm still new but I'm learning fast!

Writer/Researcher
-
Sep 2014 - Jan 2023
Working for Paragon I got my feet wet in a new tier of professional writing and research, but also project development, design, post-production and marketing work for feature films, television, advertising et al. Our clients included Machinima, PetCo, Blizzard/Activision, the D.I.C.E. Awards and E3.

Art Director
-
Jul 2017 - Jul 2020
After 7 years as a contributing author and illustrator at Somethingawful.com I was made art director, responsible for hiring and managing visual artists to coordinate with authors for online publication. I continued to contribute as an author and illustrator, taking the record for most Front Page illustration credits by any artist. I also designed merchandise and advertising assets, assisted the editor-in-chief and the site owner directly with day-to-day operations, helped plan live events and fund-raising campaigns, and was the author/curator of Photoshop Phridays, one of the earliest and longest running online digital arts competitions. Director, Designer, Co-founder
-
Aug 2008 - Apr 2020
Fresh out of Film School my favorite producer and I embarked on a 12 year journey in owning a tiny, nomadic creative studio together, and I wouldn't trade those years for the world. I wrote, directed and designed short films, music videos, advertisements, events and installations for clients ranging from musical acts like That 1 Guy and the Magic Pipe and Snake Rattle Rattlesnake to brick-and-mortar Denver institutions like Puzzah! escape rooms and the King Center at Auraria. I also freelanced as a designer under the Kearney Street brand for games, books, articles, print advertising and more, through grad school and after. My producer and I both took 2020 as a good time to retire our strange old banner and concentrate on other opportunities, but Kearney Street will always hold a special place in my heart. Show less
