I was in charge of Payroll for ten Charity Lottery Campaigns, employing around 40 Agents that operate across the UK. • Creating Batch Headers on Excel for each campaign for each Financial Week, as Agents are paid on a weekly basis. • Checking which Agents have had Cancellations and calculating their Pay Rate. • Liaising with Operations to find why a particular Agent’s Reported vs Actual figures do not reconcile. They have over reported or their forms are missing important data (Signatures, Bank Details). • Creating Import Files on Excel for each campaign for each Financial Week. This includes importing the relevant consignments into the Import File, deleting the non-relevant sales as the dates will fall under a different Financial Week. Finally creating a Pivot Table based on the data in the Import File and comparing it to the Reported vs Actual Figures, checking that the two tables reconcile. • Once the Import Files and the Reported vs Actual reconcile, I import the “Import File” into Microsoft Access into the relevant Database and append the data. • Run Queries to update Agents data on MS Access, which I use to ultimately, run reports that produce the Agents Weekly Commissions. • Run Queries to update Managers Weekly Overrides data (Bonuses), which I use ultimately to run reports that produce the Managers Weekly Overrides Reports. • I create Bond Manager Reports for each Agent on each campaign. Each Agent has 20% Bond that is deducted from his/her Weekly Commissions. This is to safeguard the company against any of the Sales that will get cancelled. As Magnum Direct Ltd pays Agents a Month in Arrears, Agents have to wait six weeks to receive their Bond. We produce a monthly Bond Manager Statement showing how much each Agent has in their Bond Account, the amount of Bond that has been deducted due to Cancellations, and the amount of Bond that is being released. As a Royal Marine Commando I under took one of the most highly intensive training regimes in the world. I had to be highly motivated, determined and learnt to work well as part of a team and on my own. I was always punctual and flexible as many duties were at odd hours. I followed instructions and made decisions well while under pressure. I was a troop section leader, which meant that I was responsible for my section’s needs and tasks, as well as accountable for the outcome of the tasks. I gained excellent communication skills from negotiating with my senior ranks and having to motivate the junior ranks around me. I was able to produce precise and concise reports regarding training exercises that my troop was involved in. Show less
