Mechanical Infrastructure Supervisor
-
Mar 2016 - Jan 2019
Due to restructuring and the downsizing of the organisation the role of Mechanical Infrastructure engineer was amalgamated with the shaft engineer’s position. This released me to take up the position of Mechanical Infrastructure Supervisor whilst continuing to deputise for the Shafts and infrastructure engineer in his absence. This role has also given me the opportunity to cover the position of ‘on call’ Mine Engineer for weekend cover of all mechanical aspects of a working mine. The role of Mechanical Infrastructure Supervisor gives a more hands on approach of the previous engineers and technical assistant roles dealing directly with any mechanical issues within the department on a 24/7 rota and allocating resources as appropriate and overseeing all safety aspects.
