I had the good fortune of working with Ian for over 20 years in various roles from Production through to Sales management. Throughout my time at Westlock Controls, I recognised that Ian treated all the team as equals and imparted his knowledge and advice freely, empowering myself to attain greater authority and responsibility through the years. When it comes to improving all facets of a business, Ian brought drive, intensity, persistence, but above all consistency to every initiative the company embarked upon. In Sales ,this led to continuous growth in year on year improvements and on operations always being our customers top supplier, while delivering outstanding efficiencies and hence business results. Like all entrepreneurial characters he could be tough when needed, pushing for stretch results and often was infuriating, with his relentless enthusiasm and questioning.
