  During my 6 years with Multiplex I worked on multiple high profile projects. These projects included residential, commercial, leisure and retail; with particular attention to the following: - Top-down construction. - Fair-faced concrete. - Standing seamed roofs. - Complex temporary works schemes. - Basement construction and associated waterproofing. - Super-prime residential developments. As Construction Manager I was responsible for the general operation of the site and the quality of the finished works. This included construction methodology and associated SHEQ, design development and programme compliance. On all projects I developed a close relationship with all stakeholders (Client, Design Consultants, Subcontractors) and establish a constructive and collaborative working environment. Show less

  I started at Kier as a Graduate Engineer in 2001 and worked in many positions before moving on to Multiplex. I started as a setting out Engineer and then worked up to Project Manager. Starting as a Engineer gave me an insight into how to build (....build on site, not from a textbook) and the importance of planning and coordinating works properly. Whilst working for Kier I worked on multiple projects from start to finish and I experienced most construction methodologies. These projects included: - Concrete frame. - Steel frame. - Refurbishments. - Education. - Residential apartments. - Mixed use developments. - Cross laminated timber (CLT) structures. - Medical Research Buildings. I also worked in the Kier Engineering Services design office for 12 months designing complicated temporary works schemes for Kier sites across the country.
