Iain's equally at home generating ideas and suggestions himself, or coming in cold to a new subject. But the result is always clean, clear and engaging copy that's well informed and - never underestimate this - spot on the word count you're looking for. On numerous occasions I've been presented with blank pages and next to no time to fill them, but when Iain's available it's always extremely reassuring, as you know that he can be relied upon for quick and high quality turnaround. He's also extremely selfless when it comes to the picture research side too, and often before I've had a chance to mention to the picture desk about a piece, he's already sourced images himself and sent them on. He's a real joy to work with, and an example to other freelancers.
