I managed a team of volunteers to deliver a mentoring project in Wiltshire which connected young people leaving care with a supportive and caring mentor. I recruited, trained and supported volunteers to help the young people realise their potential. I developed a good working relationship with the Leaving Care Team at Wiltshire Council to create successful matches between the young people and recruited volunteers. Here I developed a very good knowledge of safeguarding practices for children and young people. I delivered safeguarding training to all volunteers. I was also a regional safeguarding champion for the charity where I supported other staff to make the best decisions around safeguarding for volunteers and beneficiaries. Show less

Previously I have been responsible for upholding aspects of the Eco Campus ISO14001 Environmental Management System, Fairtrade University status, as well as the position in the People and Planet University Green League.
