      Having a passion for youth ministry and the lake, it was a dream come true to drive ski boats and teach campers water sport skills for an entire summer. Bass Lake, the place where I first learned to wakeboard and water ski, is located one hour outside the famous Yosemite Valley. How I got paid to do what I love while being in one of the most beautiful places on earth is still a mystery to me. Being a part of the Boat Driver team allowed me to harness my skills of team collaboration, leadership, and communication to effectively execute YSSC's goals. This dynamic role allowed me to also jump into different positions that needed assistance like Counselor and Head Boats. I earned the following certifications within training for this position: Lifeguard Certification, Boating License, and Open Water Certification. This truly was the best summer of my life and I cannot wait to head back sometime soon.
