    • Teaching Assistant
      • Jun 2019 - Aug 2019

Worked at the Center for Arab and Middle Eastern Studies as a teaching assistant in the Colloquial Lebanese Arabic program. I got familiarized with effective teaching strategies after getting trained by professionals and working with a great teaching team. As a TA, I was mainly responsible for supervising activities in class and leading conversation sessions in groups of 4 so the students could improve their speaking skills; this allowed me to interact more with the students and be closer to them which made the experience a lot more enjoyable. I also contributed to lesson planning and gave a couple of sessions myself, as a part of training TA's to become qualified teachers.

    • Research Intern
      • Jun 2018 - Aug 2018

Conducted market research on the compliance of olive oil brands in Beirut based on the criteria and requirements governed by the Lebanese consumer protection law. This internship was a good opportunity for me to get a closer look at an important stage of the supply chain of olive oil, an integral part of our Lebanese/Mediterranean cuisine. I also managed to enhance my communication skills as this research involved dealing with employees and business owners, some of which were not abiding by the law which necessitated taking serious measures.
