Michel Herbin

Hussam YOUSEF was enrolled in my team in September 2009 into the CReSTIC lab of University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne (URCA). He studied the interactions between the light and the skin for applications in the cosmetic industry. Three years later he has obtained his PHD of URCA in July 2012. His skills in graphic design and programming have been very useful for projects in the field of computer science. His autonomy was another strong asset for his innovative work. For these reasons I support the professional project of Hussam Yousef.

I collaborated with Hussam on the second part of his PhD thesis. He showed a strong motivation, initiative, independence in his work, and an excellent understanding of the area of work. He was fast to get into this new topic and made it his. He showed a good theoretical understanding of what needed to be done as well as the ability to efficiently program it. He also did a good statistical evaluation of his results. He showed the ability to work in a team and take into account the various comments that could arise during a meeting. He knows to criticize his work and analyze the parts that could be improved. He has always delivered on time and he is hard working. In conclusion, I strongly recommend Hussam Youssef.
