It was a pleasure to advise Hussam on the Innovate UK funded KTP project, where he successfully led the application of lean manufacturing practices and aspects of Industry 4.0, to drive modernisation and improvements at Nemco Ltd. Hussam proactively collaborated with the University of Hertfordshire, liaising with academic staff to commercially apply research. Hussam is diligent and detailed, both in his technical documentation and in the execution of tasks. He has a real drive to learn and improve himself, illustrated by a strong appetite to execute certified CPD in a range of areas. This has included lean 6 sigma accreditation, formal project management certification and liaison with commercial vendors to identify and integrate manufacturing software solutions. Hussam is also a people person, working closely with teams and individuals to embed learning and up-skill. As such, he has a bright future in front of him and I wish him luck in the next stage of his career.
