All LGBT+ individuals deserve the same level of confidence, respect and accessibility to menstruation products as cisgender women, especially non-binary folx who menstruate. Unfortunately, the period industry only tailors their product development and marketing strategies to reflect the needs of cisgender women, leaving everyone else out of the equation. I’m currently working to bridge the gap by conducting digital research and product development, creating a period product to better serve the non-binary and queer community.

    • Crisis Counselor + Assault Advocate
      • Aug 2019 - Aug 2020

As a volunteer at BAWAR, I learned through vigorous training as well as field experience how to support & work as an advocate for victims and survivors of sexual violence. I’m able to provide support both on the crisis hotline and also during in person visits to hospitals for physical forensic exams and police interviews.

While at the IRC, I worked with newly resettled refugees and their families to facilitate health education and culturally appropriate food access programs.
