With approximately 10,000 visitors joining us on campus each year, Residence Ambassadors are critical in helping students choose to live and study at McMaster. Ambassadors show off their residence rooms and discuss the benefits and advantages of living on campus. Ambassadors also act as the ‘face of residence’ on key recruitment days such as Fall Preview and May at Mac. • Sep 2018 - Sep 2022

I led students (grades 6-12) in hands-on Arduino workshops, teaching component use from LEDs to sensors. Used online tools like Tinkercad for engaging in hands-on learning. Assigned project challenges, fostering creativity and prototyping skills, and helped make their ideas into a reality.

    • Participant: Change Makers Summer Bootcamp at IIT Delhi
      • May 2022 - Jun 2022

IITD hosted a DIY summer boot camp named ‘Change Makers’, where students across India were chosen through an interview. Students from classes 11 and 12 were chosen for this program, and they had access to the Institute’s state-of-the-art facilities to convert their impactful ideas into reality. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buT_kv1mQOw The non-residential boot camp was held from 23rd May to 24th June 2022. It involved hands-on rapid prototyping, with training in digital and mechanical fabrication. The training took place at the Makerspace (a DIY facility at IIT Delhi). After the training, the students were able to avail the IIT Delhi facilities till the end of the boot camp to build projects aimed at addressing some high-impact societal problems. Each student was part of a team and went through the spiral method of prototyping to bring their ideas to life. Multiple ideas were discussed amongst each team, with presentations being held with various professors to discuss the feasibility of the project. At the end of the boot camp, the prototypes were shown to the director, Prof. Rangan Banerjee, and media coverage for the same was present. https://www.thehansindia.com/news/national/makers-summer-boot-camp-exhibition-held-today-at-iit-delhi-750334 Show less

I participated in the "YUVA Innovator" Challenge 2021, a competition that draws school students to present innovative solutions for global issues. This platform serves as a launchpad for visionary minds from “rural and urban Bharat". We were selected out of 1257 Teams from 400+ Schools/Colleges all over India. I was the team leader of my team. We conceptualized and designed an advanced bot for this contest. Our creation was an Autonomous Field Soil Testing Bot named "AgroLytic," putting AI and ML to use. The bot would give farmers real-time insights into their soil's health and provide tailored recommendations for optimizing areas of their fields. The convergence of technology and agriculture through AgroLytic would help not only help streamline but also modernize farming practices in India. The "YUVA Innovator" challenge revealed our teams' dedication to innovation and collaboration. By reaching Round 2 and creating a visionary solution like AgroLytic, we also helped raise awareness towards pressing global challenges through inventive means. Show less
