The Shared Technical Team wanted to review its inherited applications and identify opportunities to decommission or rewrite the applications onto modern, supported technologies. The focus of the internship was to understand the business requirements for these legacy applications and make a recommendation for their future lifespan, rewriting applications in new technologies where appropriate. To review and understand the applications, I looked at them within a business context rather than just IT support, which involved liaison with a variety of other Aviva departments and users. I also developed two of their applications on SharePoint. Show less
