I am a public historian specializing in the contemporary history of medicine and health and in the use of oral history. My previous projects include an oral history research of palliative medicine in the Netherlands for ZonMw, an oral history project on the Dutch AIDS Memorial Quilt for the Amsterdam Museum and several smaller public history projects which are linked under my projects below. Currently I'm investigating new strategies in collecting the history of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the Netherlands, for the University of Amsterdam. Together with two public historians I form the public history collective Oud Wasgoed. Show less
