Working with Hugh has always been a pleasure. He is always courteous, determined and upskills himself so that he is well-versed on whatever project he is working on. He is a professional with a proven track record in sales as well as HR consulting. If one wants to work with someone that will do their job, Hugh is not that person, this is because Hugh goes beyond his KPI's and does what most shy away from even without being asked. Examples of this would be providing training for new starters, organising key admin documents for the team, designing corporate sales decks and the list goes on. He has been adding value to every team in every organisation we have worked together in.

Hugh's energy is what inspires me. Working on Projects with him allows me to absorb his passion and operate on a frequency which is defined by excitement and undefined by the possibilities. Dedicated and involved in deep thinking and discussions, Hugh bolsters my knowledge and often affects my views. Someone I truly identify as a Disruptor.

      • My job at Frontier Coffee is to design creative hot beverage solutions for major corporate and small to medium enterprises (SME) • Our focus is delivering an amazing cup of coffee using high quality, up market coffee dispensing machines, by simply pressing a button. • My primary responsibility is to generate sales to large corporate customers. I have achieved noteworthy recent successes with: • Set Point Group, Dimension Data, Sasol, CSIR, Momentum; to name a few. • My responsibilities include quick responses to customer requests and building long-term relationships that ensure a continuous business stream. • The key to my success is largely due to effective new prospect development and thorough pre-planning. • The experience I built up at Canon in customer prospecting has assisted me enormously in this area and I have been very successful at opening doors and getting appointments with decision makers in the current difficult economic climate. • I have learned through experience that my future and that of our company depends on protecting our existing customers and continuously growing a new customer base. • The life blood has been a great learning tool in creating a snow ball effect on commission and profit coming into the company. It has been the life blood of my career and will be moving forward as I know without new business and fresh money coming in no growth will happen, and that is not an option. • The Company holds weekly two-hour sales training sessions to monitor our progress and hone our sales skills and product knowledge. • I am studying for a B.Com degree in Marketing Management and have been given some opportunities to apply my marketing studies for the company. I am proud to say that we have had positive responses to my work from our current customers. Show less

      • Account Management was my prime focus. Ensuring that my current and future clients are given the best possible service, in order to create a trustworthy relationship for Konica Minolta and the client. • Creating a sales environment that is productive to the highest level. • Time Management - This I implement to create a seamless workflow in order to stay on top of all my requirements, as per my contract with Konica Minolta. But this also ensures that I can plan my actions that go above and beyond my job description, giving myself and my Manager the peace of mind that my endeavors are fruitful. • Product Education - I will always make sure that I know my product and that I believe in my product ensuring that my prospects and clients always have detailed information that they need to better help them choose my services. • Reason for leaving: Headhunted by Frontier Coffee Show less

      • Dispatch Management - Ensuring that all impact beds and machinery were sent out and delivered to the customer correctly, and on time. From Johannesburg to Cape Town and Durban, all the way into Botswana and Angola and surrounding North Africa. It was very important as components that were not complete would cost the company, from thousands to millions depending on the distance they needed to travel. I had a 100% strike rate and ensured that I never had incomplete components. • Reason for Leaving: Part time position, Show less

      • I was put in charge of the up keep of the warehouse building in Fox Street Johannesburg which was 5 stories high. In the time frame of 3 weeks I single -handedly cleaned and fixed up all five levels of the warehouse. • Then put in charge of the paperwork on the penicillin production line and had to do signage and for the warehouse and all the particulars that needed repair on the exterior of the building. • I worked on all the raw materials that needed to be weighed for a contract in Botswana. With the correct weighed material I then went on to be the mixer of all the materials, so that they may be worked into the machines that bottled and labeled the correct amount, for one dosage of liquid penicillin. • Also worked helping the production line run smoothly and did repairs on machines that I had little experience on when the maintenance man was not available. • I was a stand in Production Manager whenever I was needed. • Reason for leaving: Termination of contract Show less
