To investigate complaints or visit dwellings and take appropriate action in relation to statutory nuisances, public health, drainage, accumulations, filthy and verminous conditions, premises open to trespass, infestations by rodents, insects or other pest problems identified, caravan site licensing or other environmental health issues. 3. Implementation of Council Policies, Strategies and Service Plans particularly relating to houses in multiple occupation, housing improvement, area renewal and empty homes. To provide surveying skills or HHSRS skills for enforcement purposes, grant or funding processes where such are related to the above. 4. To keep abreast of all current legislation and technical information relating to Housing and related issues. To attend relevant training and ensure professional development. 5. To undertake HHSRS surveys and sampling as and when required in respect of housing, water and other relevant matters. 6. To advise on planning applications with regard to Environmental Health relevant issues. 7. To attend and provide evidence in any Court / Tribunal / Inquiry hearing, on behalf of the Council, arising out of these duties. This includes representing the Council, in relation to all Environmental Health housing related matters at meetings of the Council or working parties, liaison groups, outside bodies or any other similar group as and when required. 8. To inspect caravan sites, take appropriate enforcement in compliance with relevant standards and assist undertaking the traveller count when needed. 9.
