Analyst as part of CRE's mission to monitor the wholesale energy markets in application of the European REMIT regulation. Analyst within the framework of the CRE's mission to monitor the wholesale energy markets in application of the European REMIT regulation. - Analysis of the functioning of the wholesale electricity markets and of the suspicious market episodes detected o Analysis of transactions on the different market segments in order to verify the consistency of the behaviour of the market participants with the sectoral fundamentals and compliance with the obligations and prohibitions on market abuse set out in the REMIT Regulation. o Analysis of unusual market episodes or cases of suspected market abuse detected internally or externally. o Monitoring of market conditions. o Analysis of changes in market mechanisms in order to refine and strengthen methods for detecting market anomalies. o Managing, in close collaboration with the Legal Affairs Department, formal exchanges with the relevant players and exchanges with other national and European regulatory authorities. o Contribution to the reporting and periodic or ad hoc publications of the Directorate. o Contribution to European work within ACER and CEER on the REMIT regulation and the proper functioning of markets. o Regular follow-up and cooperation with PPATs (brokers, exchanges, etc.) on their surveillance activities. - Quantitative work on detection tools: o Participation in the design, implementation and improvement of internal tools: * tools for analysing and visualising data on transactions and fundamentals; * Alert tools to detect behaviour likely to constitute market abuse; o support for changes in the architecture of the Directorate's databases to better reflect the specificities of market operations and to optimise their use.
