Hua Wei successfully took up this role in Orica 4S project, that including setting up the plans in details, managing interface integration from different products, communicating with poeple from different background and setting up meeting with multiple time zones. This summer i flew to Singapore to refocus on APAC compliance where I worked with Huawei. We met with 5 new starters to the APAC business to co-host an onboarding day - both to the processes I run and to the Compliance systems that Huawei looks after. Huawei demonstrated detailed knowledge of our Google compliance systems - what was used, why it was important - whilst also showing a strong understanding of why Sales may miss deadlines, miss out on compliance metrics etc. One thing that impressed me most about Huawei was his preparedness. His decks were thorough, his material was on point, and as he walked through there were some great case studies which brought the training to life. The sales team clearly trusted him, listened, and he answered their questions without hesitation. What I also admired in him was his hunger to learn more about the Hardware business - and his ability to quickly understand the many intricacies of the organisation. Huawei continued be a key compliance expert for the Hardware business, be it getting our most important contracts approved and signed off, or advising on the deal processes that are essential to our sales team.
