      ICAP is a global health leader working with one central goal of improving the health of families and communities. In Myanmar, ICAP has been supporting the Ministry of Health in order to improve access to HIV care and treatment among people living with HIV. As a Field Technical Officer, I have to perform as a focal person in two of the ICAP’s catchment areas (Yangon and Mon Regions) to provide technical assistance and implementation support to National AIDS Control Program (NAP) in order to improve ART scale and decentralization. Basically, a Field Technical Officer has to make sure that ART provision points are functioning well and providing quality services according to national guidelines by providing regular trainings and conducting mentoring and supportive supervision visits in collaboration with regional NAP team. In addition, I have to assist NAP in strengthening of M&E system by regular checking the M&E capacity of staffs from service points and validating the data reported from these points. Moreover, coordination support is also provided to strengthen referral and linkages between different public and private facilities in these regions.
